Jay-Z and Yankee Tees

Check out this new commemorate tees design, a collaboration between Jay-z and Majestic, in honor of the first concerts to be held at Yankee Stadium Bronx NY, September 13 and 14th, with co-headliners Jay-z and Eminem .  Sleek, black and co-branded with Jay-z and Yankee team logos, the tees will be available for purchase at the Yankee Stadium Great Hall Team Store. There is no word as to whether the t-shirts will be available for purchase on line so if you are in market for the clothing I suggest you hit up a family member or friend in the big Apple.

All Black Everything Air Force 1

Jay Z can do no wrong in my eyes..except coming out with the “All Black Everything” limited edition Air Force 1 collection and NOT naming Canada as one of the five showcased countries…it is criminal!?  Luckily he has good reason.  The collection was designed to pay homage to the USA, France, China, Puerto Rico and Brazil, countries that are taking part in the World Basketball Festival August 12 – 22 in New York City. The sneakers are a combination of black panels with the respective countries colours embedded in a translucent sole.  Only two pairs of each sneaker have been made, with one pair to be auctioned off on eBay. All proceeds of the sale will go towards the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.  I suppose you get a blithe this time Jigga.

Drake’s World

It’s like everywhere you turn now-a-days, Drake is there. The world can’t get enough of Drake and his debut album is still weeks away from dropping (“Thank Me Later” scheduled to be release June 15).  Nevertheless, on May 29th, Toronto’s own Drizzy Drake will grace the cover of Billboard Magazine. A must have edition for Drake fan’s, the article chronicles a recent performance at the two-day Bamboozel Festival in East Rutherford New Jersey; as well as, provides a brief history of his rise to international acclaim (information that we in the Tdot area already know all too well).   Following his “Away From Home” tour, he will be hitting the club/radio/festival circuit before heading over to Europe to join Jay-Z  for a couple UK stops. Lucky fans in Toronto will also get to see Drake during Caribana as he is said to be returning to attend the Festival.  He is also negotiating a fall tour, sponsored by AT&T.  Welcome to Drake’s World!  And it’s far from OVER.
