Not feeling like enough of an individual owning the same ultrathin Apple laptop as everyone else? We feel your pain, you need something more in your status symbol hardware. This is where Colorware enters, asking for (at least) $1,850 in exchange for a MacBook Air — made in 2010, exactly to your chromatic specifications. Come on, we can mock and we can decry the price, but if this were ever within the disposable income portion of your budget, wouldn’t you jump at the opportunity? Alas, there’s no option for repainting an Air if you’ve already bought one, so whether you want the 11.6-inch or 13-inch version, you’ll have to buy it directly from Colorware.

Full details to come shortly, but what fun would it be to reveal all of the surprise artists?! That’s like shopping for your own gift, no fun in that!
What I can share is that this spectacular event will be hosted by your very own “Mr. International” Kardinal Offishall.

KID KUT – THE VOICE OF THE VIBE AWARDED WITH 2010 STYLUS CLUB MC OF THE YEAR
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 31, 2010 – TORONTO, ON
Kid Kut your Voice of the Vibe took home his category’s highest acclaim for a third time last night at the Stylus DJ Awards sponsored by Mark Eckō Watches – Known for being a founding member of one of the Toronto urban scene’s
pioneering sound crews, The Baby Blue Crew, Kevin “Kid Kut” Keith of the X-Caliber Entourage has gone on to serve the industry as one of Canada’s most recognized club emcees. On May 30th, 2010 at The Mod Club Theatre located at 722 College St. Toronto, ON he was awarded the 2010 Stylus Club MC of the Year Award for a third time.
“It is truly an honour to receive this award, and I want to say thanks to my team for supporting me throughout my career.” – Kid Kut, in a statement after the show.
This three-time recipient of the award, which is the highest acclaim in Canada in the field of nightclub emceeing, remains in high demand, travelling from Vancouver to Halifax, New York to Miami, as well as working the crowd right here in Toronto, a city that has supported him from the beginning of his career almost 2 decades ago. When not serving as an emcee, Kid Kut is an entertainment “multi-hyphenate”, who has been a heavy hitting contributor to Canada’s music industry as a DJ, Promoter, and Producer. He has produced top urban talent such as Kardinal Offishall and Jully Black as well as R’n’B crooner, Ray Robinson.
The name Kid Kut itself can also make reference to his reputation as a long time barber. He is the proprietor of “Shine” barbershop in Brampton, Ontario where many industry colleagues can be seen sitting in the chairs. His depth of talent and wealth of experience have built a solid foundation where although he is a veteran of the game, the best is yet to come.
“I feel privileged to have been nominated among so many talented emcees, who share my vision of keeping this craft alive and who share my passion for music and people.” – Kid Kut
For all that is hype on the streets, in the studio, and on the scene, keep your eyes on Kid Kut – The Voice of the Vibe at www.kidkut.com and listen to him each and every Tuesday on The X-Files Mix show from 7 to 10 p.m. on www.globe-radio.com with Jester.
