It’s like everywhere you turn now-a-days, Drake is there. The world can’t get enough of Drake and his debut album is still weeks away from dropping (“Thank Me Later” scheduled to be release June 15).  Nevertheless, on May 29^th, Toronto’s own Drizzy Drake will grace the cover of Billboard Magazine. A must have edition for Drake fan’s, the article chronicles a recent performance at the two-day Bamboozel Festival in East Rutherford New Jersey; as well as, provides a brief history of his rise to international acclaim (information that we in the Tdot area already know all too well).   Following his “Away From Home” tour, he will be hitting the club/radio/festival circuit before heading over to Europe to join Jay-Z  for a couple UK stops. Lucky fans in Toronto will also get to see Drake during Caribana as he is said to be returning to attend the Festival.  He is also negotiating a fall tour, sponsored by AT&T.  Welcome to Drake’s World!  And it’s far from OVER.

Although we are nearing the end of spring, the weather is finally starting to feel more like it (or in fact more like summer).  So Ladies, it’s safe to say it’s time to start rocking spring 2010 fashions. Put away those high waisted pants and bright colours of last season and invest in mixed print florals, tribal chic, safari lux or pretty pastels. And don’t forget to get yourself a pair of clogs..yes they are coming back!!! You can thank me later.

Today, several time zones away, a new flagship Nike Store was opened to the public – NIKE Stadium Tokyo. It is said to look more like an art gallery than a clothing store; nevertheless, it is a must visit if you are in the market for custom t-shirts and the latest in NIKE foot wear. Following the trend of NIKE Stadium’s worldwide; it too will showcase a series of installations. The first focuses on and is inspired by the NIKE Mercurial Boot and Japanese soccer sensation Tadanori Lee.

I said I wouldn’t post anything about the Volcano in Iceland; the one no one can pronounce and that crippled the world’s largest airlines (Eyjafjallajökull, go ahead try to pronounce it) but this video by Sean Stiegemeier was too Dope not to. It clearly depicts the Earth’s fury in the most majestic light. The footage was taken by a Canon 5D MKII a must have for any inspiring photog.
